Astarios pairs Swiss governance with senior engineering out of Ukraine. Our Swiss entity owns contracts, delivery oversight and accountability; our engineers build and secure the product. The result is software done properly and cybersecurity that holds up, delivered by one partner who stays on the hook from the first line of code to production, with no handoffs and no juniors learning on your budget.
Reto had spent over three decades in the Swiss tech industry as a lead developer. By the summer of 2018, he kept running into the same wall: strong local engineers were scarce, and the good ones were impossible to hire fast enough.
Around the same time, Andreas finished his MBA. He had spent over fifteen years running engagement management for three of Ukraine’s largest outsourcing firms, and he had formed a clear conviction: the companies that win, at home and abroad, are the ones built on transparency and real teamwork. He wanted to build something that connected clients with genuinely strong engineers, matched properly to the work, without the usual outsourcing games.
The two shared the same idea, so they built it. Their first R&D office opened in Kyiv. Drawing on Reto’s background across Security, IoT, FinTech, AI, and Machine Learning, Astarios grew into a partner for software development, staff augmentation, and security testing.
Today Astarios works with companies in Energy, Big Data, FinTech, and AI, with teams in both Ukraine and Switzerland. Swiss governance, senior engineering, and none of the talent shortages that slow everyone else down.
